|2010-01-25 21:11:29 Greg - please pleaseHello, I simply was wondering if you could pray, and Please ask others
to pray, for my family and myself. I know everyone needs prayers, especially in
these hard times and I pray for you too; however my poor family is overwelmed with
so so many serious problems that I can't help but to beg for special prayers. I will
be forever thankful.
God love you,
Gregory Rossi

|2010-03-08 19:16:59 Devin A. Kasper - Gregorian ChantHello,
You have a link for people who want to learn to chant. Does this choir ever do performances? Or, are these 'performances' part of the weekly, Tridentine Mass? I am not a Catholic, but I am a Christian and I really enjoy listening to Gregorian Chant.
Sincerely,
Devin A. Kasper

|2010-03-09 08:31:20 Jacek Cianciara - Gregorian chantHi Devin,
Thank you for your interest in Gregorian chant. Although the Holy Redeemer Schola only chants at Mass, anyone is welcome to attend. The Holy Redeemer Schola at the Holy Redeemer Church in downtown Madison practices every Tuesday at 6:00 pm and chants Gregorian chant at the Mass every two weeks. The next Missa Cantata, as it is called, will be on Sunday March 21, at 7:00 am. You are also welcome to come to the Church of our Lady of Pine Bluff http://stmarypb.org/ on Saturday mornings at 7:30 am to hear chants. The Knights of Divine Mercy Schola, which practices at the church in Pine Bluff, does occasionally perform outside of Mass. You can see their website at http://kdmscholacantorum.blogspot.com/.
The sacred chant, which is largely a praying of the psalms, can unite all Christians in the ancient prayer of the church.
If you want more information please provide your email address.

|2010-08-02 10:03:15 Henry Sheffield - Tridentine Mass VideoPURE SERENDIPITY!
I found your web site by chance and was so very pleased to follow the Tridentine Mass videos. It's been 40+ years since I last took part in this beautifully meaningful rite. I do not think that Holy Mother Church realizes the mistake made when this thing of beauty and purity was replaced by the banal, and often inane, abbreviated and meaningless liturgy of the English Mass. The last time I was in a Catholic church in Arlington, VA was on a Christmas Eve a few years ago. The Mass, if that's what it was, was in a "church" that was more an auditorium one would find in a university, the Mass was all in Spanish, the congregation was singing Tony Orlando's "Feliz Navidad, and the Holy Sacrament was kept in a side room. Yet, church leaders wonder why people have left the church. What happened is that the church left its people. My hometown church in Iowa, not where I currently reside, has been converted into an Hispanic shrine to Our Lady of Guadalupe from its founding by German-Catholic immigrants as St. John's Church.

|2010-10-09 11:38:55 John M. - Request for AssistanceA small group of people in my diocese have recently founded a Latin Mass Society. It is very much in its infancy and still very informal. Is it possible to speak with someone associated with the Society in Madison for advice? I have many questions that I would rather not list here. Please let me know if this is something you would have time for.
Thank you,
John M.

|2010-10-22 03:20:35 Jacob Barclay - PREPARATIO AD MISSAMMY REQUEST FROM JERUSALEM FRIDAY 22 OCT 2010
May it please the persons in charge,
Can someone send me a WEBSITE for me to find the MISSALE ROMANUM PREPARATIO AD MISSAM, with all the prayers for priests preparing to celebrate Mass,in Latin and in English as found in THE MISSAL, LONDON, Burns Oates and Washbourne, Publishers to the Holy See, 1949, pp 658-676. If there is no such website, is there one with the ENGLISH or "an" English translation? I have this volume which I purchased in 1950. Not a single website dealing with PREPARATION FOR MASS includes these beautiful and sacred prayers! My reason for asking is because as a mere idividual with no personal website of my own on the internet, and in order to SEND an English translation to hundreds of people, in my opinion, it ought to be possible for your website to provide this service, so that one can simply copy and paste in the text and send as attachment.
Hoping to receive a reply, I remain
Sincerely,
Jacob Barclay
